Founder Akshay Munot opened a small kiosk at Parramatta Westfield serving hand-peeled sweet corn kernels in a cup. Word of mouth—not marketing—built the following.

From one simple corn cup to a growing produce network.
Harvestime grew from the same practical belief that started Country Corn in 2009: nutritious food should be enjoyable, convenient and made with care.
After eight years in banking and sales, founder Akshay chose a different path and took on a struggling food start-up. What began with hand-prepared sweet corn became a deeper understanding of sourcing, consistency and the trust food businesses place in their suppliers.
In 2018 the group acquired Harvestime and its registered trademarks—the perfect fit for the original vision. Today, we supply frozen berries, fruit, vegetables and complementary essentials to restaurants, retailers and foodservice partners. We have grown, but the principle remains simple—source thoughtfully, communicate honestly and deliver reliably.

Harvestime is part of a broader Australian food group. Each stage added new products, capabilities and ways to serve customers more reliably.
2011
Our own kernels
Contract farming was established overseas to produce hand-peeled frozen sweet corn to Country Corn’s exact specifications, with distribution to kiosks and cafes across Sydney.
2014–15
Ready-to-eat innovation
Microwaveable corn cups for busy families were developed, and the focus shifted from the kiosk to product development and independent retail across Sydney.
2016
Country Corn Australia Pty Ltd
The company was formally incorporated, testing its products at the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show and earning strong consumer and industry attention.
2018
Harvestime milestone
Harvestime joins the family
After evaluating many food businesses, the group acquired Harvestime and its registered trademarks—the perfect fit for the original vision, expanding well beyond corn into premium frozen produce.
2019
Multi-brand expansion
Operations grew across Harvestime for wholesale, Frozberries for home delivery and dedicated distribution—each brand with its own focus and customers.
2022
Wholesale distribution grows
Sydney City Organics was acquired and rebranded as City Wholefoods Distributors (CWFD), strengthening temperature-controlled distribution across greater Sydney and beyond.
Today
One connected food network
Harvestime works alongside CountryCorn, Frozberries, Elgin Organic, Berryfields and City Wholefoods Distributors to support homes and businesses across Australia.
